Invisalign is a great option for my patients. How it works basically is we take a scan of your mouth and we’re able to make trays through that scan. Depending on the case you’ll be switching your trays every one to two weeks and you’ll be wearing your trays all day except for when you’re eating and you’re brushing your teeth.
So the way it works is the tooth movement is implemented in each tray. So if you’re not wearing your trays your teeth won’t move but if you’re wearing them perfectly your teeth are going to move great. So I always tell patients we can get very similar results with braces versus Invisalign but compliance is a really big factor.
So patient selection is very important. I always you know try to gauge patients you know are you going to wear your trays. You know maybe if we have a patient that’s a little bit forgetful maybe Invisalign’s not a great option for them.
We might gear towards braces but really we can get great results with Invisalign and it’s a lot more aesthetic and I just I love the product and I love using it.
